Robyn Anderson is a writer of short stories, film scripts, radio stories and a recently completed dystopian adventure novel, “I am not Joe Donovan”. She has lived most of her life in New Zealand but has also spent time in the US and more recently spent ten years in London. She now lives in the suburbs of Christchurch in a house with a stream at the bottom of the garden and a tree hut for spies, zoo-keepers and kids who catch eels.
Robyn attended Hagley Writer’s School during the earthquake years. Her novel, “I am not Joe Donovan” reflects the chaos and concerns that resulted from this unforeseen, life-changing event.
Awarded the Brockenhurst Scholarship 2018 Robyn travelled to England to research WW1 soldiers for her podcasts “War Stories.” (see Home Page to listen) which aired on Radio New Zealand. The podcasts are now part of the National Radio WW1 Archive.
